That’s the “dry” part of the tiger put in, the rest is submerged under the water. I’ve only given the nose a cursory layer of graphite so far as I’ve pushed myself as far as I can go this evening and it’s getting harder to focus now so I’ll get to that when I can give it the proper attention. A good amount of detail in there so far, with a lot more to go – but as the water is mapped out a lot more it should be more straight forward to get in. The key point there will be to get the balance of tone right between the subject and the background, but that’ll be taken care of as I get to it. I know the tiger is somewhat flat in tone right now, but I’ll adjust that during the final stages.
