Just before Christmas, I was working hard on three miniature study drawings as gifts, and this one was the first of them completed: a cute little Coat Tit.
This characterful little bird is one that I don’t see too often, but is always worth keeping and eye out for. Smaller than a Blue Tit, they are nimble little birds that take advantage of smaller seed feed that Goldfinches tend to enjoy. This little drawing was a joy to work on, and came together quite quickly. Even though it is a small piece of work, I’m very happy with how it came out and the amount of detail that I was able to work into it. More importantly perhaps, it was very well received, which is always a bonus!
